Ready, Set, FAIL! - Now available on Amazon

I'm super excited to share that my latest book Ready, Set, FAIL! is now available on the Amazon book store and is already #1 amongst new releases in four categories! This book literally took me a lifetime to write as my own personal stories of failure and risk-taking are intertwined with research and strategies for the classroom or professional learning. Failure can be a great teacher and too often we don't provide enough opportunities for learners (both young and old) to fail and grow. Playing it safe can create barriers for creativity and innovation which I call out in the book.

Throughout the book, there are also multiple opportunities to reflect on your own risk and life failures and how they shaped who you are as a person. Creating a learning environment that embraces thoughtful risk-taking and failure helps create a culture of innovation. I hope you take a moment to check out my book and feel free to share with others that might be struggling with their own failures.

After all, it's not how you fall down, but how you stand up!

Below is a summary of a blog I wrote on this very topic. Check out the full post here but here are some highlights: Why do students cheat? This to me is the most essential question we as...

Greetings! I just spent the last two weeks touring the country talking to various schools, conferences, and educators on the impact of AI on teaching and learning. I'm not an AI expert (nor do I think anyone really is at this point), but I do believe educators should be having some serious conversations around the impact of AI in schools when it comes to: Academic Integrity Media Literacy Creative and Critical Thinking Skills And more! As we head into summer, school leaders should be thinking...

With all the rage around Artificial Intelligence (AI) lately, I've been taking a deeper dive into ways these tools can help teachers and students going forward. Recently, I kicked off a series of video shorts called "Hooked On Ai". These one minute-ish videos are meant to provide teachers with a quick overview of many different tools and strategies around using AI in the classroom. Here's the first 3 videos in the series. Be sure to follow me on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or my Facebook page...
